Just walked back in the door from a (non-dancing, but still lots of fun) long weekend in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and we're about to head north to Massachusetts for ContraEvolution II this upcoming weekend. This got me thinking:
The contra dance community as a whole is surprisingly mobile, visiting various assorted events in other parts of the country because of a performer they have to hear or an event concept they just have to see, whatever the logistics. For those of you who do decide to go dancing around the country (or abroad!), why not share your stories -- what's the longest distance/craziest set of logistics you've had to manage to get to that really awesome event? How did you even hear about it to start with? Was it totally worth it?
